Mt Washington

This classic early-seventies, modern farmhouse lived a few lives during its time in the coveted Mount Washington neighborhood of Los Angeles. It had been cut into a duplex in the early 90’s and the new owners wanted to bring it back to a single-family home with a gut renovation that touched every corner of the property. 

From the roof to the foundation, the home was taken down to the studs and rebuilt. A vaulted ceiling in the formal living room opened up the space and small touches like the marbled spa steam shower, an open kitchen, and exposed beams, gave it a wow factor. Not to mention bringing in the hot tub by Crain and burying it in a sprawling redwood deck.
